World Thinnest 10-inch Tab Toshiba AT200

The Toshiba AT200 – the tablet the Japanese company claims is the thinnest 10.1-inch slate in the world (and who are we to argue?) – has landed in the UK and is available from Carphone Warehouse.
The super-slim 7.7mm tab, which goes by the name of the Toshiba Excite X10 in the US and the Toshiba Regza AT700 in its homeland, was first announced way back in September 2011 at IFA in Berlin.
The Honeycomb (Android 3.2) tablet comes with a 1280×800 resolution LED backlit display, is powered by a 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor, has 1GB of RAM, and 16 or 32GB storage options.
There is a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, as well as a forward-facing one for video calling. Connectivity options include a micro-USB port and microSD card reader, while a micro-HDMI port connects the AT200 directly to your big screen TV.
It is more than 1mm thinner than the iPad 2 and weighs just 558 grams. The full dimensions are: 256 x 176 x 7.7mm. Toshiba is promising 8 hours of battery life from a single charge.
Available to order online now the 16GB version costs £399, it’s £50 more for the 32GB one. It will hit Carphone Warehouse stores on 15 February.
