Nokia Belle Download Begins
Nokia Belle, possibly the last hurrah of the Symbian OS, is now available to download for an array of handsets from the Finnish manufacturer.
Previously called Symbian Belle, before Nokia banned all use of the “S” word, Nokia Belle is the second major update to Symbian^3, after Anna hit last year.
It launched in 2011 originally on the Nokia 701, Nokia 700 and Nokia 603 smartphones and is now available for anyone packing a Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia C7 or Nokia Oro in their pocket. Nokia 500 owners will have to wait a little longer – the update will be made available within the next few weeks.
Nokia Belle brings you more home screens, expanding the three home screens you get with Nokia Anna to six. That’s more screen real estate to host your apps and widgets as well as new features such as imaging applications with HD video recording at 30fps and a visually improved web browser.
