Hot on the heals of the recent arrival of the 3G version at the FCC, the 4G version of the Samsung Galaxy Note for AT&T has now also reached the FCC. The model carries the designation SGH-i717 and packs UMTS/HSPA+ (21Mbps), GSM/EDGE world radios as well as the AT&T-ready LTE bands 4 and 7. The device has received approval following emissions testing and can be expected to reach store shelves soon.

Much has been made of the Galaxy Note as the device can be held in one hand to make phone calls, but also doubles as a tablet with pen-input capabilities co-developed by Wacom. To accomplish this, the Note uses a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a high 1280×800 resolution. Powering the 3G version of the Gingerbread handset is a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, although this could be bumped to 1.5GHz for the LTE version.

While the 3G Galaxy Note has been confirmed for a mid-February launch in Canada, AT&T has yet to announced its launch window for the LTE model.
